Tues Jan 27 rehearsal will be on ZOOM We've heard from the church, and the property is still closed and off-limits. We considered defying authority, but it is too icy and dangerous. SO, we'll practice on ZOOM again tonight at 7 PM. Some of you told me ZOOM was helpful last night. We'll do the music we didn't do last night and work in sectionals again. I know it's not ideal and I'm freaking out a little bit, but we can do this. We will be IN PERSON together on Thursday at 7 PM, then FRIDAY at 7 PM, and then MEET AGAIN on Saturday at 2:30. That's a strong 6 plus hours of rehearsal together in person. If you know the music well, we can do this. Everyone will need to step up! SNoW Oh NO - Here are our plans A snowstorm. ON PRODUCTION WEEK. UGH. Please stay close to your email, board buddies, and section leaders and write down my number and their numbers, just in case. Board and Leaders, please print out the names and numbers of your peeps. Power permitting, we will have sectionals on Sunday on Zoom. 12:00 for Bass / then 1 Sops / then 2 Altos / then 3 Tenors. You can find our PHilo Zoom link on singer portal anytime. If Monday in person is cancelled, this might happen if the snow can't be removed from the church property and/or we can't get out or it's just too dangerous, then we'll meet again on ZOOM at 7 PM for everyone. Babe Yetu pronunciation Hi Singers, Board Member, Katy Karlin, thought we might benefit from a native speaker on the Baba Yetu. One note: For the word "mjina" we have to phonate on the "m" despite what Joyce says. As in Spanish, the pronunciation of the vowels is very straight forward. a = ah e = ay i = ee o = oh u = oo, mostly.
