Lauren, our treasurer wasn't able to be there, but you can tell she does tons of work behind the scenes! Please tell your Board Buddy how much you appreciate them! The slide presentation is on the Singer Portal of our website. Philomusicachorale.org We learned so much over the summer about charitable gifts for non-profits with great missions like ours, and we are thrilled that Financial Planner Jon Viscounte and his son-in-law, Brandon Oruch, are on our team. Jon will be at rehearsal on Oct 12 at 6:45 in the reception room next to our practice hall to answer any questions. He has a talent for making things that feel complicated, easy to understand. Remember, he has offered free consultations (30min) at his offices, too....

Practice focus for Sept 28 rehearsal (message sent Mon Sept 21) Hi Philo Singer, Thank you for a great rehearsal tonight. It's always hard to hear in the sanctuary, but we were able to get a lot done. I feel really good about those pieces. For those of you who missed, we worked hard and long on the following songs. We know them well now, so be sure to practice them on your own. Not Infinite If Not God Pink Panther Thanksgiving Song We Wait for Breath. Next week we will start on Numbers! Music packets for fall 2026 (message sent September 3, 2026) Dear Singers, Here's a new idea! Your music packets are ready (except for three pieces: Thanksgiving, Wasn't that a Time?, and Eastern State Penitentiary.) The TB only and SA only songs will be on your chairs at the start of rehearsal. And a couple of you will not have Seasons of Love or Not Infinite just yet. All will be adjusted on MONDAY, Sept 14, OUR FIRST REHEARSAL. (I'm so excited.) Want to pick up your packet? I'm home most of the time these days. Just text a time you'll be by and your packet number if you know it. I'll be here or I'll leave your packet on the porch. Practice recordings on the way. Library Work update (message sent Aug 28, 2026) Dear Singers, We've asked everyone to sign up for at least one 2-hour slot on at least one of the following days. THANK YOU TO THE FOLLOWING SINGERS WHO HAVE SIGNED UP. Please remember to bring a folding chair so you can sit! If you have a laptop with excel loaded, that might prove helpful. (But there's no plug in power, by the way.) Bring a pencil and a stapler, if you have one. I always bring a bottle of water, too. Although, WAWA is right around the corner.
